Years ago, I left a job in finance to become a stay-at-home mom, believing it was the “right” thing to do.
See, I was juggling a full-time job, being a new-mom with what felt like a baby who was constantly getting sick, sleepless nights, and endless expectations that were burning me out.
As the years went by,
I also started to lose sight of me….
… even though, deep down, I craved more.
I didn’t just want to raise great kids — I wanted to build something of my own that would grow with me as the kids got more independent.
Enter Professional Organizing
Spoiler: I tried all the things — volunteering, coaching cheer and gym, MLMs, courses, side hustles. But between the diaper changes, school drop-offs, and burning the midnight oil…
I was always stuck between being the present mom I wanted to be and the businesswoman I knew I could be.
On the home front, what used to be overstuffed closets, unorganized drawers, the never-ending to-do lists, daily visible clutter — an easy-to-maintain home — all while being the primary parent AND business owner, gave me my first A-HA moment.
The second A-HA moment came during a vent session about trying to ‘do it all’ to my husband, he said:
“You’re the one setting the bar.”
I realized:
I was trying to run a business without systems…whereas at home, it was the opposite.
It was the wake-up call I didn’t know I needed.
