Amazing! – 5 stars
This podcast is a life saver. As a parent of 2 kids and running a business full time getting one’s house tidy is…
… quite challenging. It is important to notice that after the whole day going up and down, getting home to a tidy environment is a must to decompress.
Dianne does a really great breakdown and steps to take to address the clutter in the house. The content is comprehensive and practical.
After just a few episodes it really helped me understand how to approach the clutter in the house all taking into account my very busy schedules. I could write a whole essay about everything I learned thus far, but I strongly suggest anyone going through the same issue to give Dianne’s podcast a try.
You will be in for a treat and wealth of information when it comes to organizing your place.
Mental Health Awareness – 5 stars
Thanks Dianne for sharing your personal story when you struggled with mental health. It’s a courageous act to…
…put your vulnerability on the line and speak honestly to your husband that you needed help. I can relate to those physical feelings of being teary eyed and a lump in the throat when ‘checking in’ or being ‘naked’.
I recently had a difficult conversation with my partner and I was in tears and shaking a bit. Being honest and not keeping it in helped me tremendously with my mental health and I was compassionate and more connected with him afterwards.
Thanks for this timely episode.
Thank you for your honesty – 5 stars
Episode 17
Love this latest podcast! The fact that you said you were resentful struck a chord with me,…
…I remember feeling the exact same way. My husband wasn’t as forthcoming with help, so I just did it all when it came to the kids till one day I just broke down and asked him for help. He had no clue I was stressing.
So important to keep the communication open and let our spouses know how we’re feeling. They aren’t mind readers like us 😆
As moms we lose ourselves in our kids. Our lives change so much, but I can honestly say now having grown kids, they see it, so it’s important to show them that raising kids should be 50/50. Loved this one👍🏼
Awesome! – 5 stars
Very easy to listen too and relate
Practical, Doable, Done! – 5 stars
Podcast #28
“Why We Struggle to Declutter” was my first of Dianne’s first podcast to hear. I’ll definitely be listening to more!…
…Dianne’s 4-point approach spoke well of her experience in the real struggle and was filled with very practical tips with do-able suggestions on how to get started and get your decluttering done.
Dianne has a smooth, warm, easy voice for listening. In fact, you could probably declutter while you binge-listen to more of her podcasts! I’m very greatful to have met Dianne, and you will be, too! Just click and listen. You’ll be glad you did… especially if you have children! Her tips aren’t just for adults.
She also provides some great ways to motivate and help get your children involved. Five stars for the five successes I’ll celebrate this week, working a little each day towards getting my own decluttering done once and for all!
Inspiring Ideas!!! – 5 stars
Awesome tips, advise and fail safe ideas. Thank you Dianne for sharing personal experiences from the heart. Your podcasts have taken …
…the ease of learning for parents to another whole level. Continue the good work and keep those ideas coming!
Episode #42
Great interview with Kenzo, he is a natural. Very confident and comfortable. Although my child is…
…an adult I found the interview very interesting. I like that you asked Kenzo what HE would do differently, what he enjoyed more and what he disliked. The highlight for me was the dishwasher discussion and chores. No doubt a hot topic in many homes.
Should children be remunerated for participating in managing the home? Love how you asked if mama should be paid for all she does.
Lots of awesome moments of reflection for Kenzo. Including the children in the management of the household (within their capacity) is empowering for them, teaches the importance of ” all hands on deck”. Why should managing the home be left to 1-2 people? Also, chores in the summer 👎🏽
Well done gang! Where were you 15 years ago?
Episode #40
I loved this one! We often try to fix what they did and I am learning that by giving them praise rather them seeing their work …
…redone, they tend to try harder the next time (at least for now!)
I’ve been enjoying listening to a few episodes (not up to date yet though) in the car on my drive home…
… after the kids are in school and daycare. You have such a calm and reassuring voice, it’s great to listen to and you really give fantastic tips You make me feel like “I’ve got this!” even when so much is going on in our busy lives.
I’m happy that my hubby and I took time to tackle some cleaning that was due around the house like our oldest son’s bedroom (we wanted to get stuff organized, so he’d have less things and stimulation to help him keep it clean) and our bedroom too which was becoming a mess Feels good that it’s done now! I will admit that listening to your podcasts has been part of the motivation for these projects.
Thank you for being there, Dianne! All of the episodes are so practical and useful. I have also been going through some of my boys baby clothes at the same time and have been sorting out things, a part of which I donated and found some stuff that I want to sell as well, so your episode with tips on how to sell your items online is going to be very helpful for that
I also loved the one about making bathroom cleaning easier which is something I’m going to have to tackle soon
Keep up this wonderful work girl, you’re killing it!
Home Organizing
For a while I have been following @1tidyplace, someone I know and have worked with in the past. Her posts have made me restless!…
…Slowly seeping into me, she made me start this major un-cluttering project. This closet was filled…now?
Everything that was needed…fits into one space. Follow her if you are not already! Book her! Inquire her! She is changing spaces one house at a time. I was starting to feel cloistered and it was stressing me.
I like a clean breathing space. Yet I used the “busy” excuse to not do anything. The kids are still in school and I had their crib. Why?!
Watching your posts encouraged me. As I said before, you made it real. Not someone random from TV. Having my room neat makes me put things back where they belong. I don’t pile up clothes anymore. I also wanted my kids to realize that clinging to things will take your space away. They love the change I am making.
This service will help you organize everything about your home. She is full of ideas and her fun personality will make the process a breeze.
From organization, decluttering to Ikea furniture assembly, 1Tidy Place is your one stop shop for your home!
You won’t regret it. Contact her for a consultation. She is amazing, doesn’t overwhelm and is a great listener.
Thank-you for being fully transparent. I have a weak immune system and breathing difficulties so…
…I have to be extra careful. And thank-you for today: tips, tricks, advice and all the encouragement and helping me get rid of things that I don’t really need. I really appreciate it all!
Dianne came to visit my home using every Covid 19 precaution and let me walk her through my stress point areas. I never felt…
…negatively judged, rather excited at the prospect of having fresh ideas on how to re-organize these areas.
She listened to me and took pictures and even came up with some immediate solutions on the fly! She sent me a thorough report and when I had some time I got to work.
My family wasn’t completely on board with some of the new changes so we agreed to try them out…. NOW no one can even remember why we did things the old way! My kitchen feels functional and the flow works!
I loved working with Dianne and soon I’ll be looking for guidance for my next project!
I highly highly recommend working with Dianne – she keeps it real!
Dianne is a mom on the go but is always there for you when you need some advice. She’s a great listener that…
… always looks at things in a positive light and helps find solutions to challenging situations!
She is very creative and fantastic at organizing whether it be a closet or an event!
With her personable approach and quick wit, Dianne makes you feel confident in your choices and excited about the new direction she has helped you take on
Dianne is very down to earth and goal focused. She makes the overwhelming seam simple. Full of knowledge and is very resourceful. I highly recommend Dianne.
If anyone is in need of a helping hand to organize, clear out, declutter, come up with space-saving solutions, I highly…
…recommend Dianne Jimenez. She has helped me now on 3 separate occasions and what would have normally taken me days alone took us just hours. She is awesome and totally worth every penny!!!! PM her!!!
Dianne is so helpful and dedicated. She did amazing work with our basement and kitchen. Thank you, Dianne!!!
Working with Dianne is an absolute pleasure! Being a single working mom of two, I rarely have time to keep on top of organizing…
…our highly used spaces. She walked me through the organization process, helped me focus, and listened carefully to my needs without judgment. Thank you Dianne!
Though I knew that the clutter in my home was causing clutter in my mind, I could not fully appreciate the extent until…
…both my home and mind were “decluttered”.
Being a single mom working full-time for three years had led me to overlook certain areas in my home. The mentality was, if I get it out of my sight, stuffed in a closet or a room with a closed door, that was good enough. Well, that was good enough for the “old” me. The old me was stressed, overworked, and grossly neglecting my mental health. It was after all, survival mode. And as the drawers and closets and storage spaces continued to fill up, as did my anxiety. I felt the overwhelming feeling of dread at tackling any of these tasks. There was enough laundry, cooking and basic cleaning to keep me exhausted. Going beyond that felt impossible.
I recognized, above all, that I needed help. With aging parents, and friends already occupied with their own lives and families, I started looking into the possibility of having a professional’s help. It was after lots of research that I came across 1tidyplace.
Working with Dianne was in so many ways, therapeutic and life-changing. Our rapport was natural and comfortable. I never felt judged about the mess hidden behind a drawer/door. She understood me and my journey that had gotten me here. And that was so very important to me.
I absolutely LOVED that her foundational beliefs included getting the family involved, and my daughter had a hands-on approach to creating a system in her room that worked for me AND her. Weeks later, she still asks if the nice organizing lady will be coming back one day!
The new me has suddenly found time to laugh, see and speak to friends more often, and have more carefree time with my daughter! The systems that Dianne and I collaborated on have remained INTACT for weeks since the organization. Putting away groceries is easy when everything has its space. My daughter and I maintain her room be doing an overview together on the weekend. The goal is that she will do this on her own in the coming weeks. And despite still being a full-time working single mom, my quest for a perfectly organized home has continued beyond my time with Dianne. Suddenly tackling a task on my own doesn’t seem overwhelming anymore. Frankly, now, I feel like I’ve “got” this!
Working with Dianne was everything I expected and more. I am forever grateful for the changes she helped coach me through in my house. And more than ever, this house feels like a home.
Dianne is truly passionate about her Home Organizing business! She is an EXCELLENT listener who catches…
… all the details. Dianne reads between the lines and provides solutions that are personalized to fit your needs and circumstances. She’s also a lifelong learner which means she’s sharing new ideas every day. She puts the pro back in proven with results that will change the way you work and live. Thank you Dianne!
