Get Organized with Lids and Bases: Finding the Best Tupperware Solutions
We all know the struggle of opening a cabinet to find mismatched Tupperware lids and bases scattered everywhere.
Organizing your Tupperware can change the game, especially when you have little helpers in the kitchen. A fellow mom asked about the best Tupperware solutions that work even when kids are emptying the dishwasher. My first tip is to ensure your food containers are more or less of the same brand and shape. Square or rectangular containers work best as they maximize space in your cabinets. You can “Russian doll” or nest them beautifully together, simplifying the entire organization process.
In my home, we use containers that easily stack, such as Rubbermaid and Ziploc. By using consistent brands, the lids fit nicely, making organization a breeze. Remember, the key to a tidy kitchen and stress-free day starts with how well you can manage the little things, like your Tupperware.
My Secret Sauce for setting the kids up for success
Towels, Towels, Everywhere: Maintaining Towel Organization
The next topic addresses everyone’s towel disaster stories. With kids grabbing towels thoughtlessly, the linen closet often ends up looking tornado-ravaged. We aim to fold our bath towels neatly, usually stacking them with the next-to-use on top for easy access. Folding and storing your dish towels vertically can prevent disruption when family members need them, ensuring a smoother and more organized retrieval process.
It’s essential to instill a routine and mutual respect for shared spaces. Teaching children about the importance of keeping things tidy not only helps in maintaining organization but also instills good habits that they’ll carry throughout their lives. Gather your family and hold quick, fun meetings to demonstrate how folding and storing can be done properly. Over time, this practice can cultivate a sense of responsibility and appreciation for shared home spaces.

Cleaning Tools and Products: Mastering the Bathroom
Finally, let’s tackle the bathroom—a place that can often succumb to disorganization and mess. It’s crucial to have distinct cleaning products for different spaces. For the bathroom, separated gloves and cleaning tools can prevent any misguided uses—like one of my kids grabbing bathroom gloves to help with cooking, a story that is funny in hindsight! Designate specific places for cleaning kits within the bathroom to keep the gear accessible and reduce distractions while cleaning.
Our cleaning supplies are stored under the sink, featuring essentials like vinegar, soap, and water spray for glass and stronger products for deep cleaning the tub – which I do right now.
