#18: 3 Points: Kids Schedule, How We Disinfect & Time Blocking

In this week’s video, I talk about 3 topics: The results of my RESET meeting I had with the kids, how we disinfect items coming in the house AND my NEW Time Blocking training!

1. Resetting the Kids’ Schedule

Last week I went LIVE on my Facebook Page , explaining how I had to do a RESET meeting with the kids because we fell off the wagon. Our daily schedule was falling behind, school work wasn’t being done, our home was a not as tidy, etc. But MOSTLY – the atmosphere was pretty glum the whole week prior.

Not a good feeling and definitely not helping our mental state. If there was ever a time to press RESET, it’s during times like this!

Getting clear & focused

So the first third of this week’s episode gives you the RECAP of my “Reset Meeting” (yeah, that’s what I call it!). Let’s just say, things are looking a lot like this picture on the left, but watch the video anyway, mmmk? ๐Ÿ˜‰

2. How we disinfect our things

Much to my uneasiness but also belief that REAL LIFE is what connects us, I take you behind the scenes of my home and show you HOW we disinfect our things. From how I handle groceries and outsiders (aka, my husband!) coming into the house. It is a process and this is WHAT we do. It certainly isn’t the best way OR the only way. However, as I mention in this episode, THIS is for those wanting to know the “how-to” or get inspiration so they can implement a process on their end.

showing a sterilized room, nurses and doctors, disinfected

Now, coming from a health background and being a daughter of an O.R. nurse with a family of nurses, I know a thing or 2 about deep cleaning and disinfecting.

So when I saw a video a few weeks ago from a health practitioner doing a pretty good job on how he disinfects his groceries, I was inspired to do the same. You know, the poor guy even got some backlash on how he missed a few things? Or people called him out on certain items as “not disinfected”. To that, I shake my head and have to laugh because it can NEVER be 100% disinfected or “clean” in our home – EVER! After all, we’re not performing surgery now are we?

So as he politely said it to critics and fans alike – which I’m a true believer of :

Do The Best You Can.

And that’s just what it is. I show you our version of disinfecting our things and so far, it’s working.

3. Time Blocking for our New Normal

The NEW norm of working is definitely taking a toll on our mental state. With our minds cluttered, how can we really focus on what really matters? Family, work, kids’ school, our relationships, our home, food, the next pay check,etc.. just to name a few.

Organized work space

This is where the organizer in me ties in with the work-from-home-parent. After all, we need to get even more organized these days – more than ever!

I believe that the path to success lies in how we place ourselves: either we’re on it, swiveling alongside it or just totally off – which results in a different result altogether.

So, how to get on the path to success? I’ve created a mini Time Blocking training and it’s FREE! Here, parents get to set the tone and pace of their day so that THEY free-up time to focus on what needs to get done. Not only that, many avenues get addressed too:

  • Kids get on a schedule
  • Home gets maintained
  • Teaching Life Skills
  • And so much more!

I hope this helps you guys in some way. Will you try your version of a RESET meeting with the kids,? Or how do you disinfect things from the outside coming in? And finally, Time Blocking yay or nay?
